Save the Manatees
People who want to see manatees in Florida is popular. I can see why the manatees are different from most other water animals. They are cute and resemble big fat cows without legs. I guess that's how they get their nickname: sea cows. The manatees have a huge problem: humans. As we all know from the photos we have seen, these animals are getting maimed and cut up by boats. The little ones even die. We need to bring more awareness to this problem and try to help do something about it. Manatees getting killed by boats isnt the major cause of deaths though. If you go to certain rivers, you can swim with manatees in Florida. Crystal River is the most popular river where you can swim with them. The best time to do this would be in the winter near the spring heads where you are almost certain to find them. They like to go near the springs for the warmer waters.
