Silver Springs State Park

Silver Springs State Park is located in Central Florida right outside of Ocala. It has a park that you can pay a little money to enter. You can also launch your own boats and kayaks a little ways down at a public boat ramp and travel up the river toward the main springhead at Silver Springs Park. You can't swim in the springs, but they have glass-bottom boat tours that take you up and down the main spring area.

Florida Monkeys

If you ever wanted to see Florida Monkeys, then Silver Springs is the place to visit. They live in the woods just off of the Silver Springs River and they will come to the river when you are floating by to see if you have any food for them. They live in large communities and sometimes you can see up to 50 of them.

Silver Springs Glass Bottom Boats

Silver Springs glass bottom boats are pretty cool. They are about 20 feet long and have an all-glass bottom, so you can see beneath you into the water. Some of the springs go about 60 feet deep and you can see to the bottom of the river. I believe it's the only Florida springs with glass bottom boats.

Silver Springs Hotel

If you are looking for a Silver Springs Hotel in the area, you're in luck because there are many in Ocala. Here are a few good Hotels in the area that are only about 10 to 15 minutes away from Silver Springs.
